"Leoni" excavation in S. Candido Innichen (BZ) - 1982
Leoni site: stratigraphy - On the "Leoni" site, attention has been focused on the excavation of the various construction phases of a wall. The various levels can be classified into: the advainage level of the site; the creation of a slope for the wall's construction; the trampled level after the actual raising of the wall's structure, the collapse of the wall; the levelling out (with earth from elsewhere) and lastly the grassing over. In the site description following the excavation matrix the most important, i.e. datable, finds are illustrated.
