been
studied
since
1983.
Ancient
Laus
Pompeia,
founded
by
Romans,
was
completely
destroyed
in
12th
century.
Here,
after
two
chapters
concerning
the
town
history
and
the
present
knowledge
of
the
situation
of
the
territory
during
the
medieval
age,
the
authors
explain
the
guide
lines
for
a
future
study
program:
field
archaeology
and
study
of
the
remains
by
means
of
sources
and
carÂtography,
air
photos
and
the
study
of
